THREADED MEMORY

This project explores how memory often feels fragmented and incomplete. I use partial sketches of shells on butcher paper and stitched compositions with thread and card stock to reflect that. By focusing on sections instead of whole forms, I echo how we tend to remember only bits and pieces of our experiences. Sewing fragile paper to sturdier card stock represents the effort to hold those fragments together. The thread becomes a way to connect, care for, and accept the imperfections in memory. In the end, it’s about trying to preserve what time slowly wears away.
